上海1930∼1950年代，一則參差的傳奇：周璇與其歌曲研究

摘要

活躍於三四零年代上海流行音樂界的周璇，以名氣的高漲、演唱歌曲與演出電影數量的龐大與特殊的嗓音，在眾多女明星之中顯得十分突出。周璇的歌曲除了顯示出中國流行音樂的發展脈絡與過程，是由歌舞團、廣播電台、唱片界、最後涉入電影界，影響了其時電影「無片不歌」的風氣，也可由她的歌曲製造的過程探討當時的唱片工業。同時，從她的歌曲來探究中西交融下豐富的音樂風格變化，本文把這些歌曲劃分為中式歌曲、西式歌曲與中西合璧式歌曲，當時的中國流行歌曲種類不出這三類風格，而周璇的唱腔也依循著自中轉西式的發聲方式，凡此種種，皆反映出聽眾口味與西方文化對中國傳統文化的影響。另方面，周璇從出道以來，主動或被動地塑造出「苦命」的形象，所主演的電影內容與她的私生活有許多重疊之處，可見時人對她的好奇與喜愛。本文最後以周璇的歌曲，呈現出同時代的多位作家筆下的聲音，以音樂的角度重新閱讀並聽見這些文學作品，並且以張愛玲的文字做為理解周璇的工具。

Her songs reveal the mixture of Chinese and western culture, including her voice, music styles, and the production of music industry.
