摘要

對網路管理者而言，需要和所管理的設備溝通，而Snmp就是一個非常好用的網路協定，Snmp是一個簡單的網路管理協定，也是在現今很普及的一個網路設備管理協定，很多的網路設備都有支援這樣的一個協定，也有很多的商業性公司有提供付費的軟體來幫忙使用者管理網路設備，在這個論文中，我主要嘗試運用一些所公開免費的程式碼，再加上自已所開發的程式來完成一個可以管理 snmp 的軟體。

其中，我主要會把重點放在snmp trap 上，因為它可以說是 snmp 中最重要的一項功能，snmp trap 可以幫助管理者當管理設備發生問題時立刻就能知道問題的所在，並做適當的處理。

Intercommunication between Network managements and Network devices is needed. Snmp can supply this kind of need. Snmp is a simple protocol for managing network devices and it is popular. Many commercial companies develop software which is not free to satisfy the need of users. In this paper, I use and extend the open source code about the snmp by myself and make that it can supplies all of the snmp functions.

I especially focus on the snmp trap. Snmp trap is the one of the most important functions. It can help the managers to understand what happen when the devices have trouble.
