寬頻匯流網路管理資訊系統之研製

摘要


基於網路通訊技術、有線與無線頻寬以及各種應用服務的蓬勃發展,異質網路共存且匯流互通之網路型態已是必然的趨勢。在多元複雜的網路環境中,若未能及時得知網路設備故障或是流量異常,將不僅影響到網路的服務品質,甚至導致網路運作之終止。鑑於市售的網路管理軟體通常相當昂貴,而目前大部分開放原始碼的網路管理系統又較簡略,因此產生利用開放原始碼、自訂規格及功能需求,自行設計一套具擴充性之網路管理系統的構想。   本論文目的在配合寬頻有線及無線匯流通訊網路環境下,設計並實作一套完整的通用型、跨平台且為網頁式的「寬頻匯流網路管理資訊系統」,提供網管人員有效率的異質網路管理平台。基於SNMP系列之相關協定,整合多種網路管理功能,提供有效率的網路資訊蒐集與建構,使系統對頻寬分配、流量控制、服務品質、設備運作與安全性等各方面,都能做好監控及管理,維持網路在最佳狀況與設定下運作以提升整體效能,確保網路服務之品質。此外,除了專業的網路管理功能外,同時也能夠讓一般使用者透過本系統來學習SNMP-based的網路管理實務操作。   本論文設計之系統架構與技術將以開放原始碼方式提供產學界做為設計參考,降低未來建置類似系統如長期演進技術(LTE)、無線感測網路(WSN)與車用行動通訊網路(VANET)等技術之網管軟體設計門檻。

To keep up with the speed of advancement in today's converging broadband and wireless technologies, many diverse features and services have been added to networking equipments connecting to the Internet. Interconnecting heterogeneous networks are becoming an inevitable trend. In these complex network environments, it is common for bandwidth to be inefficiently allocated or the network to be improperly abused. When these network devices fail, or unusual traffic behavior runs on the wire, the quality of the network will be affected substantially for users. Due to the high cost of commercial products and less features of current free tools for network management software, the idea of self-design general-purpose one is then activated.   The objective of this research is to design and implement a cross-platform “broadband and convergence network management information system”. The system is based upon all SNMP-related protocols and is expected to be Web-enabled to fulfill the requirements of integrating broadband wired/wireless and IP convergence environment. According to the information collected, the system provides an effective platform for network management personnel to acquire network information, tune the bandwidth allocation, device control and operations, network security settings, etc. These features allow management to maintain a normal network operating state. In addition, it offers a good platform on learning SNMP protocols practically.   The architecture and techniques of the system will be open to public as an open source to provide a reference of designing similar system. It is expected to mitigate the difficulties and complexities of the deployment and management of next generation technologies such as Long-term evolution (LTE), Wireless sensor networks (WSN), and Vehicle ad hoc networks (VANET) as well.
