基於Web服務之分散式網路管理架構

隨著網際網路應用蓬勃發展，網路管理的重要性也與日俱增。有效而自動化網路管理有賴網路設備所提供網路管理標準介面。目前，在1990 年初期即被採用的簡易網路管理協定(SNMP)至今仍為大多數網路設備廠商支援實作的網路管理標準，然而隨著時空的變遷，各式的網路設備出現，所提供的網路功能也越來越多且複雜，網路規模也越大，傳統SNMP 所採用以輪詢監控管理模式日漸無法滿足當代網路管理之需求。有鑑於此，IETF 組織特別成立分散式管理工作群(DISMAN)，建議採用分散式網路管理模式來改進目前SNMP 標準之不足，DISMAN 針對分散式網路管理制定許多相關的管理物件，以方便網路管理應用程式的開發。另一方面，隨著全球資訊網技術的演進，以web 為基礎的主從式網路應用架構也非常適合於分散式網路管理，近年來，新興的Web 服務應用架構易於與現有網路設備整合以及佈署分散式管理架構的特性也受到學者們的注目，有許多學者已開始研究如何利用Web 服務建立易於使用的分散式網路管理架構。本論文研究基於IETF DISMAN 工作群所提出的分散式網路管理模式以及Web 服務應用架構，提出以一個以事件為觀點的分散式網路管理架構。透過多樣化監測條件的設定以及事件的告警，讓管理者可以很容易管理大而複雜的網路。並使用 XML/SAOP 之Web 服務支援交換事件與設定監測條件機制，以提供與其他各種網路管理應用程式整合的能力。

As the blooming development of Internet applications, the importantance of network management increases accordingly. Effective and automatic network management relies on the support of standard network management interfaces in network devices. Currently, SNMP, developed and widely adopted in 1990s, is still supported in most of current network equipments. However, in the past decade, a variety of network products with more functionality emerge and the scale of Internet also becom much greater than ever. The traditional deveice polling method using SNMP is not appropriate for the management of contemporary networks. Therefore, IETF formed a working group called DISMAN to propose a new distributed network management model to enhance SNMP. A lot of managed objects are defined for use in the development of distributed network management applicartions. On the other hand, thanks to WWW, web-based client-server application model is a good choice for distributed applications. Furthermore, web services are useful for the integration of networked applications and delpoment of distributed network management services. Based on the functionality proposed by DISMAN and web service model, we propose a web service framework for distributed network management from the perspective of events. With the support of powerful event critreia setting and the effective notification scheme, the management of huge and complicated network becomes easier. In addition, the standard XMP/SOAP interface in our web service implementation facilitates the intergartion of network management applications.
