Human beings use senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste to perceive the world. As one of the five senses, hearing is indispensable in landscape perception. The main purpose of this research was to study the effect of different soundscape on the perception of environment in an urban park. This study referred to the relevant literature, select the most preferred type of sound scene, find the different physical and psychological effects caused by the sound, and get the structure of this study. Then, the study used the experiment to examine the effects of different soundscape on the sound perception, emotional experience, and sound-environment preferences of the environment perception of an urban parks. The videos using in this study were recorded in Daan Park in Taipei, selecting four different environment (Woods, bamboo, ecological pool, and lawn). The sounds using in this study were the sound of animals and nature, such as the sound of birds, cricket, and water. As the sound of the humanities was also be preferred by human beings, this study used the sound of bells as the soundscape. The experiments were carried out in April 2017 in the National Taiwan University. A total of 52 subjects were tested, including 13 men and 39 females. The results showed that different soundscape may cause different emotional experience. The sound of birds bad the highest degree of pleasure, the sound of cricket andwater were similar to each other, and the bells bad the lowest degree of pleasure. The sound of the birds, the sound of the water, the bell is more arousal than the sound of insects. When adding the soundacape, the sound perception changeed. The sound of birds could make sound perception more sudden, faster, softer, more diverse; sound of nsects could make the sound perception more quiet; sound of water can make the sound perception more soft. There was a positive correlation between the soundscape-environment match degree and the pleasure of emotional experience, and a negative correlation between the soundscape-environment match degree and the arousal of emotional experience. Gender, the frequency to hear the sound had a weak impact on the emotional experience and sound-environment preferences. Sound effected sound-environment preferences by effecting soundscape-environment match degree and emotional experience, while it also directly affected sound-environment preferences.
