The purpose of this study was to examine the emotional effect of personal involvement influenced by sounds in natural environment. Based on the results of previous studies, the sounds of birds, water and cicadas in natural environment were selected as the experimental variables. This study tried to find the experiential emotional effect influenced by different combination of the sounds in natural environment. Using designed questionnaire, 240 respondents were randomly sampled from NTU campus and requested to watch and listen the clips from the notebooks and headphones. Experiential responses regarding emotional response were rated by the respondents from 1 to 5 scales, which yielded three categories: (1) happy and enjoyment, (2) calm and serene, (3) curiousness. The emotional response of ”happy and enjoyment” has significant difference between the sound and soundless film. Moreover, the responses of ”happy and enjoyment” to two or three kinds of sounds in environment are significantly higher than to single sound.
