農情調查之作物識別研究

摘要


台灣實施農情調查並出版統計年報已歷七十餘載,對於各項作物的栽培面積、收穫量、產值等均有詳細統計,誠為了解農業經濟發展的寶典。農情調查端賴公所的農情報告員篤實調查,忠實呈現。經由深度訪談發現,在作物識別方面,因為轄區遼闊但耕地細碎,作物品項極多,現有科技輔助工具尚無法精確判釋作物種類,農情報告員常感參考資料不足,恐影響工作效率與統計數據正確性。工欲善其事,必先利其器,為改善基層遭遇的問題,本研究按照最新的植物分類系統整理227種作物的分類地位與學名,依據作物用途屬性區分成14類,依類設計適合農情調查使用之檢索表,配合田野調查拍攝的實物照片輔以文字解說,以文圖並陳方式完整呈現作物樣態,期使無植物學基礎的人能亦能按圖索驥,順利辨識田間作物並完成各項調查與統計,提高資料的信度和效度,讓統計數據切合實際並滿足各界所需。

In Taiwan, agricultural surveys have been carried out for more than 70 years, and related statistical reports are still being published annually till the present day. Therefore, there are abundant statistics on cultivation area, harvest volume, output value of various crops, etc., all of which are treasurable information for understanding the development of agricultural economy, and such reports of agricultural situations do rely on detailed and accurate records done by staffs of the public office who conduct the surveys. Through in-depth interviews, it was discovered that assistive technologies today (e.g. APPs or satellites) may not be able to identify and interpret crops accurately, which may because of the fact that the jurisdiction of a public office is usually vast, while a great variety of crops are grown on fragmented arable lands. For this reason, the agricultural report staff often feel troubled by insufficient reference data that may affect efficiency and precision of work. This study aims to provide a useful tool for frontline staffs by re-organizing data of 227 selected crops, including updating their classification status and scientific names, dividing them into 14 categories according to the usage to human beings, and sorting them according to the latest plant classification system. With proper identification keys designed for agricultural survey and illustrated reviews supplement by a certain amount of photos taken during my field works, all the crops are fully presented with detailed features and clear description. It is hoped that this work will even be able to guide people without basic knowledge to botany to do primitive identification in the field, execute various surveys, or to complete needed statistics. Furthermore, the reliability and validity of data could be improved to be more applicable for needs of various research areas.
