雙負折射率物質之分析

Analysis of Double Negative Refractive Index Materials

摘要


在本篇論文中,我們將探討雙負折射率物質的現象及分析, 包含平板波導模態,左手物質之都卜勒效應。 在平板波導模態方面,當波導材料為左手物質, 則必須探討其模態與傳統波導的差異,在本篇論文中我們利用色散關係求出雙負折射率波導之模態及其場圖。 在移動物體方面,我們利用雙負折射率物質為移動物體,並從其反射波算出都卜勒位移,其結果明顯與正折射率物質為移動物體所測得的紅位移不同,為藍位移。

Double negative materials' phenomena will be discussed and analyzed in this thesis, including slab waveguide modes and reverse doppler effect of left-handed materials. When the waveguide is made of left-handed materials, we need to find the differeces between it and conventional waveguides.By using dispersion relations, we can get TM and TE modes, and then their corresponding fields. Surface modes will be also discussed. Finally, we model the reverse Doppler effect of double negative refractive index materials and double positive refractive index materials.Interestingly we find when an object is moving away, the former will lead to blue-shift while the latter will lead to red-shift.
