本文採用個案研究法,主旨為分析後PC時代EMS行業面臨的市場衰退和利潤下降原因,並探討影響台灣EMS企業的全球佈局和競爭優勢的關鍵成功因素。EMS公司可以將關鍵的成功因素應用於不同的地域和文化,將其有效地應用於業務運營中,然後提高其全球競爭力。 本研究以A公司為研究對象,利用多項管理分析工具,包括產業的「波特五力分析」、企業細節的「波特價值鏈分析」、企業成功因素「4M1E要因分析」以及企業文化「企業C-SOP轉型變革分析架構」等管理工具進行分析,同時訪談來自EMS企業的高階主管,並試圖總結出市場競爭力的關鍵成功因素。 研究結果指出了六個關鍵的成功因素:市場定位、企業文化、標準作業規範、教育和培訓、供應鏈管理、成本控制和客戶關係。本篇研究更進一步提出了公司A相關的戰略,人才和公司文化的具體行動方向,也為陷入困境的EMS公司提供了寶貴的管理意義。
This thesis adopts case study method. The research purpose is to analyze the market recession and declining profit the EMS industry is facing in the post-PC era, and investigate the key success factors to strengthen the global configuration and competitive advantage of Taiwanese EMS firms. EMS firms may apply the key success factors across geographic and cultural boundaries, implement them in business operations effectively, and then improve their global competitiveness. The study takes Company A as the research target. It incorporates several industry-level and firm-level analytical frameworks, including Porter’s five forces analysis, company value chain/value activities analysis, key success factors and 4M1E analysis, and C-SOP model for change and transformation. The research interviews several senior executives from different EMS firms, and tries to summarize the key success factors for market competitiveness. The research findings point out six key success factors: market positioning, corporate culture, standard operating procedures, education and training, supply chain management, cost control, and customer relationships. This study further suggests specific actions items around strategy, talents, and corporate culture for Company A, and provides valuable managerial implications for struggling EMS firms.
