兒童美語教學創新與發展之研究 -以A美語機構為例

摘要


大環境的變化,例如互聯網的發展、3C設備的普及也改變很多使用者的使用習慣,對兒童培訓產業來說,學習者的學習方式及習慣也有所轉變,像「數位寶寶」這類新名詞出現-即說明現今孩子在使用數位科技產品的能力不容小覷,除了學生學習方式上的轉變之外,數位有一些特性可以補強傳統教學上的不足,例如達到個人化學習及延伸課堂之外的學習…等,這是因為網際網路可以突破時間、空間的限制,讓學習更加富有彈性,所以該如何妥善利用數位科技的優勢來輔助教學以提升孩子的學習成效和提升孩子的學習意願,是數位教學在強化孩子英語學習的一大重要課題。 本研究針對國內外諸多兒童英語學習及傳統與數位教學之相關文獻進行深入探討,再結合研究者於兒童培訓行業三十幾年所累積之實務經驗,提出一個適宜兒童英語學習的教學模式-『IDEA』,再透過A美語機構為實例,驗證本研究所提出的IDEA教學模式之可行性及適宜性。 本研究提出此創新教學模式,希望研究結果有助於教育產業相關單位達成提升孩子學習成效及讓孩子愛上學習英文之教育使命,可望優化該產業之未來發展。

Changes in the environment, such as the development of the Internet and the popularity of 3C equipment, have influenced the habits of many Internet-users. Likewise, for children education industry, English-learners’ learning methods and habits have been changed. New-coined nouns like "digital children" imply that children’s ability to use digital technology products can not be overlooked. In addition to the changes in the way students learn, there are some features that can complement the traditional teaching deficiencies, such as personal learning and after-class study and so on. This is because the Internet can break through the constraints of time and space so that learning can be more flexible. Consequently, how to properly use the advantages of digital technology to assist in teaching, enhance children's learning outcomes, and encourage children to learn is an important issue. This study is an in-depth discussion based on the domestic and foreign children's English learning as well as traditional and digital teaching of the relevant documents, combining with the researcher’s accumulated practical experience in the children's education industry for more than 30 years. Using “A” English language institution as an example, the researcher has created a suitable children's English teaching model "IDEA" and verified its feasibility. Given “IDEA”, a feasible and innovative teaching strategy can be explored. Hopefully, the results of this study will help other education institutions improve children's learning effectiveness and make children inclined to learn English. Optimizing the development in children education industry is the ultimate goal of this study.
