號誌化T字路口機車左轉管制設置準則綜合評估之研究

A Study on Evaluate Guidelines of Motorcycle Left-Turn Control at Signalized T-junction

摘要


本研究針對號誌化T字路口進行肇事分析,以機車為探討主體,建立機車左轉管制設置準則,目的為提升機車路口安全。以新北市30個T字路口為例,蒐集交通警察大隊登記成案之肇事案件,以肇事資料庫及繪製碰撞構圖分析T字路口此路型之肇事特性,再以卜瓦松迴歸、負二項迴歸建立肇事模式得到肇事顯著因子,綜合考量肇事與路口幾何配置關係和肇事模式因子建立一套T字路口機車左轉管制設置準則。 由本研究之肇事分析結果知,T字路口肇事機車涉入情形高達90%,表示機車之安全性存在疑慮,且機車相關事故中有45%~50%為左轉事故,表示路口中左轉較危險,以機車事故或機車左轉事故方面來看,路口主要的肇事原因為違反號誌管制或指揮、未依規定讓車、未注意車前狀態以及左轉彎未依規定,上述四項原因幾乎達一半事故以上,較易發生事故為左轉穿越側撞、交叉撞、同向直行擦撞、右轉側撞及左轉側撞。有無設置待轉區會影響肇事型態,直接左轉路口易產生左轉穿越側撞、左轉側撞以及左轉交叉撞;有待轉區路口之左轉穿越側撞與左轉側撞相對比例減少,但待轉區駛出交叉撞卻增加,表示兩段式待轉區設置不當或駕駛人不遵守情形下路口仍需改善。 本研究經由肇事模式結果卜瓦松迴歸較好,得到之T字路口肇事與左轉肇事顯著因子包含左轉方向車道數、對向車道數、快慢分隔設施、左轉方向機車比例、左轉方向尖峰小時每週期機車左轉量及汽車左轉車道,以調查資料為基礎訂定門檻值後,建立一套機車左轉管制設置準則流程,根據T字路口之幾何條件與機車左轉需求,依照此流程可得到一個適合的建議機車左轉管制方式。

This research focuses on accident analysis and builds up motorcycle left turn criterion. Because of this kind research is related to traffic safety, the accident database is the key information. The research object is signalized T-junction, collected 30 New Taipei City T-junction accident datas. The main purpose is to know that the accident characteristics of motorcycle at T-junction. And than draw collision diagrams in order to understand the relationship between intersection geometry design and accident trend. Also this research used accident model such as poisson regression model and negative binomial regression model to analysis the database, so that we can obtain the significant effect factors about accident at T-junction. According to the analysis result, about 90% accident that the motorcycle involved, and about 45%~50% are left turn crash. The main cause of accidents including violating signal control, not giving precedence to other vehicles, not paying attention on front car and left turn illegal. The biggest different in motorcycle left turn accident is the two-step waiting area, this control policy change the left turn behavior of motorcycle. By the model result, we can know that there are six factors effect the accident at T-junction, including number of lanes, separation facility, motorcycle left turn demand, vehicle left turn lane and motorcycle proportion. And than apply these factors to build up the motorcycle left turn control criterion, and the proess diagram can decide the suitable control method based on the motorcycle demand and the T-junction geometry characteristics, in order to improve motorcycle safety.
