An Interactive Health Caregivers System for Diabetic Patients

Most current commercially available communication medical equipment and healthcare systems only have one-way communication. Data can only be uploaded to the healthcare system, but commands from the system cannot be directly executed, thus limiting the care function. The complementary “push-pull operation” technique has been developed in order to achieve the healthcare purpose of two-way communication between patients with diabetes and caregivers. A new “interactive health caregivers system” has been designed for patients with diabetes in order to enhance the quality of self-care. The new “interactive health caregivers system” under the 3G Internet environment can establish two-way communication between the healthcare system (cloud server platform), communication medical equipment (3G Blood Glucose Monitoring, BGM), and caregivers (mobile phones equipped with remote care function).
