摘要

本研究主題名為「國家應對新冠疫情之比較研究：以美國及中華人民共和國為例」，疫情影響日常生活的各種方面，不僅是就業和教育，新冠肺炎影響2019年至今人們的生活。本研究認為，社會建構主義的分析，反映社會現狀，政府無論是民主或獨裁，政策與文化和社會影響甚大，政府與社會，關係是永續存在和互利共生。
本研究的目的是研究美國和中國應對新冠肺炎疫情的挑戰，官僚採用策略來對抗病毒，文化是政府決策過程不可或缺的一部分，其揭示了美國與中國的政治制度。

The main topic is “A Comparative Study on the National Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Cases of the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China.” This topic was chosen because at the time period, the world is currently experiencing a pandemic which has impacted many facets of daily living; from the employment sector to the education sector. The Coronavirus that caused Covid-19 first made an appearance in the year of 2019; it has already been over two years, and the world is still battling with it. Social Constructivism is applied and used as a method of analysis in this study. It creates a lens where one can understand that whether a government might be a democratic or authoritarian one, the decisions made by these governments have much to do with the culture and the type of society. Many governmental structures are built on what the society deems to be effective and beneficial to its lasting existence.
The purpose for this study is to take a closer look at the ways that the USA and the PRC are dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Understanding why they decided to implement certain strategies to combat the virus. Both the United States and also China’s culture has been integral in part of their decision-making processes. This is important as it sheds light that their political systems.
