隨著資料中心的雲端服務不斷的擴張其服務與應用,伴隨著資料中心相關的組織也隨著蓬勃發展,這些相關的開源組織也都吸引了更多的關注進而加快了這些組織的發展。 本研究主要就是以OpenBMC為研究目標,透過研究蓬勃發展的資料中心相關開放組織,來探討資料中心業者對於Linux Foundation所發展的OpenBMC發展過程與對傳統商用軟體的影響性。在各家雲端服務業者的陸續加入開放組織趨勢下,伺服器主要供應商也紛紛的投其所好的加入,為了滿足雲端服務業者日益提升的出貨量與雲端管理技術需求一直增加,所以OpenBMC對於商用版本的基板管理軟體來說,在產品、服務與商務所構成不同面向的影響,對於目前市佔率第一的A公司與受訪的I公司來說所面臨的衝擊與影響也不盡相同。 這次的研究顯示,個案I公司透過對於資源的整合做到超前部屬與專業人才的培育,產品架構的創新設計來滿足各種不同需求層面的客戶對於產品各種不同的期望,搭配上商務模式的彈性讓商用版本與開源軟體之間的付費模式得以取得雙方都能接受的共識。本研究透過分析開放組織的發展趨勢還有對創新技術需求的變化,乃至於行銷與產品策略制定提出之前鮮少被討論的論點去加以研究,希望能藉由此研究對於能對受訪I公司對於如何面對未來的開放軟體的大趨勢之下能夠創造出更有戰略意義與未來發展性的研究結果。
As the cloud services provider continue to expand their services and applications by datacenter, along with the significant growth of some organizations which related with datacenter, all those opensource organizations have also attracted more attention and accelerated the development progress of it. This study mainly takes OpenBMC as the major goal, Through the study of the thriving opensource organizations related to the data center, to explore the development process of OpenBMC which under the Linux Foundation and the influence of traditional commercial BMC software. With the trend of various cloud services provider joining the opensource organization one after another, major server suppliers have also joined in as well. To meet the strong demand for high value of cloud services provider shipments and cloud management technology requirements continually increasing, Therefore, for the commercial version of the baseboard management software the OpenBMC has different impacts on products, services and business viewpoint. The impact on the current market share leader company A and the interviewed company I are also not the same. The Study shows that case of company I achieves the resources intergradation by leading a head and train the professional talents, made innovation design of product architecture to fulfill different kind of customer requirements and expectations, match up with the flexible business model to find out an acceptable consensus to both parties between the commercial software and opensource software. This study analyzes trend of the opensource organizations and the changes of the innovative technologies, even marketing and product strategy, which is very fewer viewpoints compare with previous research, it is hoped that through this study can help the Company I to create more strategy and future development possibility based on the big trend of the opensource.
