本研究製備以聚3,4-亞乙二氧基噻吩(poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene), PE-DOT)和普魯士藍(prussian blue, PB)薄膜組成的互補式電致色變元件(electrochromic device, ECD),並在電解質中添加不同濃度的二茂鐵(ferrocene, fc)、2,2,6,6-四甲基哌啶-1-氧化物(TEMPO)、或1,4-苯醌(pBQ)觀察其對電化學和電致色變性質的影響。當定電位法析鍍PEDOT薄膜之時間越長,穿透率降低,而應達時間縮短,析度時間為5秒時,ECD有最好的穿透率調幅(transmittance modulation, T = 50%)。於電解質中添加低濃度的fc、TEMPO或pBQ後,ECD之著色應答時間可從99.5s縮短至0.5s,也降低ECD的著色電量,從9.7 C/cm2降低至4 C/cm2,當添加到10 mM的電化學活性物質時,T%會降低,著去色電量皆上升。添加電化學活性物質後,發現ECD會產生自動著去色的反應,發現添加TEMPO後,自動著去色反應最為明顯,吸收度變化上升15 %。最後在EIS的分析中,以PB薄活PEDOT薄膜之對稱元件進行測量,在PB薄膜的著色反應上,添加電化學或性物質可以大幅降低電荷轉移阻力(charge transfer re-sistance,Rct),從707.3降低至44.5 Ohm。
In this study, complementary electrochromic devices (ECDs) composed of Prus-sian blue (PB) and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) thin films are assem-bled, and the effects of adding ferrocene in the electrolyte on the electrochromic properties of the ECDs are investigated.. The electrolytes used for the ECDs are pro-pylene carbonate (PC) solutions containing 0.1 M LiClO4 and various amounts of fc、TEMPO、pBQ. It is observed that transmittance modulation ability (T%) of the ECDs increased, but the coloring/bleaching response times (tc and tb) are prolonged with the increasing electrdeposition time of PEDOT thin films.The electrodeposition-time of PEDOT is 5 seconds, ECD has the best transmittance modulation (T = 50%) With adding low concentration of fc in the electrolyte,tc and tb of the ECDs can be effectively shortened with a minor decrease in T% and charge capacity of colora-tion(Qc).The response time of ECD can be shorten from 99.5 to 0.5 seconds,and the coloring charge can also be decrease from 9.7 C/cm2 to 4 C/cm2,.With addition of 10 mM electrochromic addiactives, Qc can be apperently increase.After adding electroac-tive additive,it was found that ECD have self coloring and self bleaching.With the addition of TEMPO,the self coloring and self bleaching is the most obvious.The change in absorbance increase by 15 %. Finally, in the analysis of EIS, the symmetrical device of the PB and PEDOT was used for measurement. In the coloring reaction of the PB device, the addition of electroactive additive can significantly decrease in the transfer transfer resistance (Rct) from 707.3 to 44.5 Ohm.
