本研究探討社區貨幣對觀光的影響。近兩年以來,在台灣提出概念的社區貨幣就有5.6種之多,在全球的社區貨幣則是更多。早期的社區貨幣因為多是發行實體紙鈔,與法定貨幣並無太大的區別。但隨著數位化時代的來臨,虛擬貨幣的日漸盛行,社區貨幣的使用也朝電子支付發展,並結合區塊鏈等技術。有鑑於社區貨幣日益增加,不論台灣或是世界各國,究竟會帶來多大的效益,需要更多的實證分析,以做為未來貨幣政策參考。因此,本研究以蘭嶼發行的社區貨幣,達悟幣,作為研究對象。我們利用財政部、內政部以及觀光局的相關資料,評估新型態貨幣的提出對於觀光人數的影響。實證結果發現,達悟幣的提出確實有帶動觀光人數的增長,但由於發行時程尚短,暫無法觀察對銷售額的影響。
This study investigates the influences of local currency on tourism. In the past two years, there are five to six kinds of local currency’s concepts that are proposed in Taiwan, and there are more local currency’s concepts that are proposed in the world. The local currency of early years was mostly issued in paper form, and it’s not too much different from fiat money. In view of increasing of local currency in Taiwan or other countries in the world, there is a need for empirical analysis to explore how big benefit they will bring, so as to be references of future monetary policys. Therefore, this study uses the local currency issued in Lanyu, Tao coin, as research project. We make use of information from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the interior and the Tourism Bureau to evaluate the influences of the proposed new-type currency on the number of tourists. The empirical results show that the raise of Tao coin does have an positive effect on tourists, but due to the short-time of issuance, it’s temporarily unable to observe the influences on sells.
