This study re-examines the impact of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) on the researcher’s life and coming to understand its significance through self-narration. Looking back at the onset of this disease, the pattern of interpersonal interaction, internal conflicts and contradictions, and the process of accepting myself and expressing true emotions while journeying through each stage of life, the researcher has found that the many answers to life’s questions lie within the self. The researcher has divided this discussion process into five stages:first, the psychological process during onset; second, the experience of coexisting with OCD; third, re-accepting psychotherapy; fourth, attending graduate school; fifth, early life experiences will be explored. I once wanted to find the root of the disease and embarked on a path of self-seeking, but now I know that this is a spiritual journey home; and now that I have begun this journey, I will continue to learn the lessons it has in store for me.
