慾望台北:都市中女性消費空間的詮釋與再現

摘要


論文提要內容: 小資女為當今消費文化與女性主義結合的一個社會新出現的群體,擁有了獨立的經濟能力,以及對於自我與生活的嚮往是抱持著理想的新時代女性。因此,本論文的議題主要是以她們的消費和生活模式, 來探索都市中新型態女性空間的可能性,藉由研究女性對於自我身體的認知、相處的模式、生活方式、消費習慣等面向,重新探討空間中的活動與空間架構,進而提出一個新型態的女性消費空間, 慾望台北。 在研究過程中,首先剖析消費文化與女性主義作為女性空間設計的基礎,並以慾望消費與女性身體作為女性元素的象徵帶入空間內,提出女性消費生活的空間特質 (如公私領域的反轉、看與被看的交織、界線的模糊)。基地的選擇在台北市, 以原先衣蝶流行館的中山區作為設計操作的據點,架構在此透過文獻回顧與案例分析, 結合了女性的空間特質, 和基地上身體與消費空間的構件元素(如櫥窗、樓梯、陽台、街道家具), 並藉由涵構疊加的分析、場景的選擇、事件的介入等設計策略,創造一個開放式的女性秀出自我的活動區域,重新詮釋都市涵構中的女性生活空間。 本論文研究重新定義女性、消費慾望、空間三者的關係,讓活動中的女性成為視覺上的焦點,在滿足消費慾望散發出的自信與自我肯定的過程成為本論文研究之重點並以空間來詮釋。在未來的研究發展上,將放大活動區域的尺度,更深入的探討女性對於食、衣、住、行、娛樂能夠更能有系統式的去研究,除了可以舒緩女性在社會上的既定印象以外,更都市中的空間能夠添加新的視角,讓整個都市構建中出現以女性為元素所創造的空間,使都市意象更能創造出新的景象與生活模式。

Petite bourgeoisie are a new emerging group of society that combines today's consumer culture with female consciousness. They have independent economic capabilities and are a new era of women who are ideal for self and life. Therefore, the issue of this thesis mainly focuses on exploring the possibilities of a new type of female space in the city by investigating their consumption and life patterns. By studying female bodies, self-cognition, lifestyles, and consumption habits, the goal of this research not only explore new female activities and spatial imagination, but also proposes a new type of female consumption space called “Desire in Taipei”. In this research, we first analyze the consumer culture and feminism as the basis of female space design and bring the symbol of desire consumption and female body as a female element into the space. We propose three spatial characteristics from female body and consumer behavior, including reversal of public and private, seeing and be seen, and blurring of boundaries. The site of design experiment is selected in Zhongshan District, Taipei City. Based on the literature review and case studies, we integrate the spatial characteristics of women with the elements of the body in the consumer space in the site such as display windows, stairs, balconies, and street furniture. The design strategies are carried out by overlaying urban contexts, intervention of events, and female spatial atmosphere. Finally, by creating open spaces for women showing off themselves, we re-interpret and represent the new female consumption space in Taipei City. This thesis re-defines the relationship between female, consumption desires and space. The process of self-confidence and self-reaffirmation in satisfying consumer desires becomes the focuses and the issues while interpreting spaces. In the development of future research, we will magnify the scale of the area gathering more in-depth discussion of female preferences for food, clothing, housing, travel, entertainment and make the research more systematically. In addition to reframing the female conventional situation in society, the design study will aim to add a new perspectives toward urban life in order to create the new visions and lifestyles for female in the cities.
