台中縣市大型老年長期照護機構照護人員工作壓力差異性之探究

摘要


研究目的﹕本研究旨在探討大型老年長期照護機構照護人員工作壓力之差異性,內容包括工作壓力、生活品質、心理健康狀況、憂鬱狀況及睡眠品質等彼此之間是否有相關或影響。 研究方法及資料﹕本研究選取台中縣市五所大型長期照護機構之照護人員。本研究工具採結構式問卷,研究工具包括工作壓力量表、WHOQOL-BREF生活品質量表、華人健康問卷、貝克憂鬱量表與匹茲堡睡眠品質指數問卷。本研究經資料收集完成之後,進行「描述性統計」、「雙變項分析」及「線性迴歸」。 研究結果﹕本研究發出127份問卷,有效問卷共計116份,回收率達91%。結果顯示照護人員之工作壓力越大,則顯著地其整體生活品質越差,心理健康狀況越差、憂鬱症狀越差、睡眠品質也越差。線性迴歸分析發現照護人員工作壓力若越增加,則越影響其生活品質、心理健康、憂鬱情緒與睡眠品質。 結論與建議﹕本研究結果顯示長期照護機構之照護人員的工作壓力與其生活品質、心理健康、憂鬱情緒及睡眠品質息息相關。研究結果可提醒長期照護機構之主管多關心其機構內之照護人員之工作壓力,並尋求適當的改善措施,以增進照護人員之身心健康。

Objective: To investigate the differences of job stress of the caregivers in elderly long-term care institutions, and its relationship with quality of life, mental health status, depression, and sleep quality. Methods and Materials: Study subjects were recruited from caregivers of five elderly long-term care institutions in Taichung city and Taichung county. The questionnaires were job stress scale, Chinese Health Questionnaire (CHQ-12), Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II), and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Those questionnaires and demographics are analyzed by descriptive statistics, bivariate correlations, and linear regression analysis. Results: One hundred and twenty seven caregivers were delivered the questionnaires and 116 of them completed all questionnaires. The completion rate was 91%. Results revealed that the higher of caregivers’ job stress, significantly the worse of their quality of life, mental health, depressed mood, and sleep quality. Linear regression analysis revealed that the more of the caregivers job stress, the more impact on their quality of life, mental health and depression. Conclusions: This study revealed the close relationship among the caregivers’ job stress and their quality of life, mental health, depressed mood, and sleep quality. These results could remind the administrator of the elderly long-term care institutions to pay more attention to the job stress of those caregivers’ and further promotion the physical and psychological health of them.
