線上影音串流平台之競爭策略分析 - 以 Apple TV+為例

摘要


Apple 在 2019 年 3 月 25 日的發表會上推出了一連串全新的訂閱服務,其中 包含了 News+、Apple Arcade 與 Apple TV+,而 Apple TV+直到 2019 年 11 月 1 日才正式上線。Apple 早在 2017 年中便決定挖角 Sony 影業電視前總裁 Zack Van Amburg 和 Jamie Erlicht 擔任原創影集內容的主管,並負責監督影片製作和節目 的設計。發表會上更請來了 Steven Spielberg、Oprah Winfrey、Jennifer Aniston 等 知名影視圈人物來站台,顯現出進軍串流版圖的野心。Apple TV+上線至今才半 年,且其中經歷的強力的競爭對手 Netflix 及 Disney+的上線,至今訂閱人數仍不 甚理想,然而隨著整體觀看線上串流影音的客群越來越大,野心勃勃的 Apple 亦 不會簡單放掉這塊大餅,因此未來發展的前瞻性相當值得探討。 本研究將以 Apple TV+作為研究個案,以平台理論作為基礎,透過五力分析、 價值鏈分析來審視 Apple TV+的內外部狀況,再用 SWOT 分析切入到 Apple TV+ 的策略選擇。 最後,本研究亦針對 Apple TV+提出未來的相關建議,設想可以合作的相關 領域,以及如何結合公司本身硬體銷售的優勢、金流,期望未來能有更多的用戶 使用同時提升觀眾黏著度,在目前影音串流產業中的競爭展露頭角指日可待。

Apple launched a series of new subscription services at its press conference on March 25, 2019, including News+, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV+. Apple TV+ was not officially launched until November 1, 2019. As early as mid-2017, Apple decided to hire Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, former presidents of Sony Pictures Television, as the directors of original album content, and was responsible for overseeing film production and program design. At the press conference, well-known celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, etc. were invited to the conference, showing their ambitions to enter the streaming media market. It has only been half a year since Apple TV+ went online, and the strong competitors Netflix and Disney+ have gone online. So far, the number of subscribers is still not ideal. However, as the overall audience watching online streaming video and audio is getting bigger and bigger, the ambitious Apple nor will it simply let go of this big market, so the foresight of future development is worth exploring. This research will take Apple TV+ as a research case and platform theory as the basis. Through five forces analysis and value chain analysis, we will examine the internal and external conditions of Apple TV+, and then use SWOT analysis to cut into Apple TV+’s strategic choices. Finally, this research also puts forward relevant suggestions for Apple TV+ in the future, envisages related fields that can be cooperated, and how to combine the company's own hardware sales advantages and financial flows, and hope that moreusers can use it in the future while increasing audience adhesion. The competition in the current streaming media industry is just around the corner.
