銀行推動金融科技的組織創新與服務創新之探討

The Organizational Innovations and Service Innovations of Taiwanese Banks in the Process of Promoting Fin-Tech

摘要


在2008 年的全球金融風暴之後,重創金融消費者對傳統金融機構的信心, 同時也是智慧型手機逐漸普及的時期,因此在技術發展成熟及市場需求改變的 情況下,給予非傳統金融業者藉由金融科技提供金融服務的機會。對於傳統銀 行來說則是跨領域的技術衝擊,雖然過去銀行也曾有過運用資訊技術進行創新 的經驗,但這次的金融科技衝擊會衝擊到銀行原有的經營模式。 本研究不同於過去談論破壞式創新所採用的產業層次觀點,藉由將原本探 討製造業的創新類型理論加以識別金融科技的技術創新類型與市場創新類型, 並透過逆向產品生命週期理論來分析個別國內銀行在組織層次如何運用組織創 新與服務創新來推動金融科技創新。 本研究透過這樣的分析與探討獲得三個主要結論: 一、銀行進行金融科技的創新類型。金融科技對於銀行來說,在技術層面 屬於基進式創新;在市場層面則有可能依不同的組織與不同的市場定位而有所 不同,以本研究的個案銀行為例,有當前市場型低破式創新、邊緣市場型低破 式創新、分立式創新等。 二、銀行進行金融科技創新時,不同的組織與不同的市場定位會有不同的 組織創新準備。不同的組織依其不同的市場定位而有不同的組織創新,當前市 場型低破式創新會在原有的組織架構設立一個新的部門進行創新業務;邊緣市 場型低破式創新會將新的部門獨立於原有的組織架構之外。分立式創新則較特 殊,因個案銀行的母公司設立橫跨集團內的新部門,且因其特殊的整合經驗, 因此產生分立式創新。 三、銀行面對金融科技創新未來可能產生的市場侵蝕需提早做出準備。

After the global financial storm in 2008, consumer lost their faith on financial institution. At the same time, smart phone has been used by society. While the technical environment and market demand growing mature, financial attackers have a chance to offer financial services which used Fintech. To traditional banks, Fintech is a different, new technology. Although, banks had improved innovation by information technology in the past, this time, Fintech will impact the original business model of traditional banks. This research used the innovation type theory to identify innovation types in technical way and market way, and used reversed product cycle theory to analyst Taiwanese banks how to improve Fintech through organizational innovation and service innovation. This research attained three research results. 1.The innovation type of banks. In technical way, Fintech is a radical innovation to banks. In market way, there are Low-end encroachment of the immediate type, Low-end encroachment of the Fringe-market type, and the Detached-market type without encroachment in the cases. 2. The banks in Low-end encroachment of the immediate type will establish a new department improving innovation when the organizational structure still the same. In Low-end encroachment of the Fringe-market type will establish a new department improving innovation with independent organizational structure. In the Detached-market type without encroachment is a special case, its parent company established a new department to improving innovation across all subsidiary company. After this special experience of integration, this case can reach the detached market. 3.Banks should prepare earlier for the future market encroachment.
