台灣地區可供耕作能源作物的土地面積有限,且南北各地複雜的生態與氣候差異頗大,又近年來政府為推動國家能源政策,以落實國家生質柴油料源自產自用之目標,遂在2007年以前將生質柴油的供應料源僅限定在國內採購,而在2007年以後便開放市場自由競爭,因此在開放前要選擇適合國內種植的生質柴油能源作物便是當務之急。故本研究經分析結果顯示,種植在台灣地區較具競爭力的生質柴油能源作物便是生長快、生產力高、適應性大、易栽培、產能高、成本低和引擎燃料效率高的大豆和向日葵兩種作物較為適合,但由於種植面積小成本仍高,仍有賴今後政府、農民和煉油工廠三方面的全力支持與合作,方可達成國內生質柴油能源作物的永續經營。
The cultivatable farmland in Taiwan for energy crops is limited, and the ecology and the climate in northern Taiwan are much different from southern Taiwan. Moreover, in recent years Taiwan government has a goal to carry out biodiesel self-production for implementing nation energy policy. Therefore, all production materials before 2007 for biodiesels are forced by purchasing in domestic, nevertheless, the production materials, in after 2007, the marketing, is opened up for free market competition. Therefore, choosing the proper biodiesel energy crops that can be planted in domestic properly is the first important step before importing. The analytic results demonstrated that soy and sunflower are the most proper energy crops planting in domestic, due to its characteristics of short growth period, high production ability, superior adaptation, easy cultivation, high oil-bearing rate ability, low cost, and high engine BSFC, nevertheless, so far the cultivatable farmland is in a small scale, so the planting cost is forwarding a high situation as well. For a long term managing and developing in Taiwan, biodiesel energy crops are needed government, farmers, and oil refineries to support and cooperate together, tightly.
