摘要


本篇論文針對一建構於被動式光纖網路-乙太網路延伸傳輸技術應用於有線電視實體網路進行深入探討。 首先,透過北部某有線電視網路我們建構一個實體被動式光纖網路(PON),及配合億聯科技股份有限公司提供的被動式光纖網路-乙太網路(PON + Ethernet)的終端系統,經過實體網路設備的測試及驗證所獲得之傳輸特性與品質,初步證實此技術可適應於台灣的各種地形環境及為一具有經濟效益的方式。 其次,我們也利用乙太網路供電(PoE)的專利技術來解決終端單元供電問題,完成一符合被動式光纖網路精神的延伸網路系統。   最後,我們所進一步提出被動式光纖網路-乙太網路(PON + Ethernet)傳輸系統,經實驗結果顯示此技術確實可以達到延伸網路應有的傳輸速率及效能,並且提供實際的應用與服務,有機會實現FTTx的商業化網路美夢。

The application of the construction of the passive optical network-- the PON-Ethernet network’s extended communicational technology to the substantive network of the cable TV system. First of all, through the Cable-Giant CATV Co.,LTD's cable TV network system, we build a substantive passive PON, then we combines with the terminal system of the passive optical network-- the PON-Ethernet network provided by the Extra-Lan Technologies Co.,LTD. After the test of the substantive network equipment and the examination of the characteristics and quality of the communication from the result of the test, we found that this technology is not only suitable to the various geographical environments in Taiwan but also an efficient method. Moreover, we also use the patented PoE technology to solve the electrical supply problem of the terminal unit. We accomplish an extended network system that meets the spirit of the passive optical network. Finally, we further points out that the experimental result shows that such technology can actually achieve the ideal communicational speed and the function of an extended network. It also shows that with a practical application and service provide by such technology, it may bring a chance to successfully commercialize the FTTx network.
