光學同調斷層攝影系統及其液晶相位延遲掃描技術之研究

摘要


光學同調斷層掃描術(Optical Coherence Tomography)具有非侵入性、無輻射傷害的光學造影優點。本研究的主要目的在於建立一套標準的空間域光學同調斷層攝影系統,並探討向列型液晶盒模組做為光學延遲掃描機構以取代機械式延遲掃描之可行性。在多片液晶盒的驅動下,使用液晶調制相位可以達到約為48π的相位調制量,換算約達22.4μm的位移量。藉由增加液晶盒的厚度或增加液晶盒片數可以產生更大的相位調制以增加位移量與縱向掃描深度。本研究利用此種液晶相位延遲掃描方式與傳統的電控喇叭、電動平移台等掃描方式互相比較,並設計待測物仿體以驗証此光學同調斷層掃描系統的造影特性。

Abstract: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Technique is an imaging technique which allows high resolution cross-section imaging by noninvasive detection without any radiation damage of tissue structures. In this study, we develop a free space domain optical coherence tomography system (OCT) and apply liquid crystal phase delay technique to the optical scanning mechanism avoiding the usually mechanical movement. The nematic liquid crystal (LC) cell module can be phase-modulated to achieve almost 48π, i.e., 22.4μm, under driving eight pieces of LCs. The modulated phase and longitudinal scanning range increase as the number of LC cell increases. So, the liquid crystal phase delay technique can be used in the proposal optical coherence tomography system for constructing tomogram of simple structure instead of mechanical scanning of electrical-driven trumpet and translational stage. Both numerical and experimental results are presented and discussed.
