摘要


無線通訊系統透過合作多集(Cooperative Diversity)可降低位元錯誤率(Bit Error Rate, BER),但因須透過中繼站(Relay Station)轉傳訊號,故會降低系統傳輸率(Bit Rate),因此本研究採用實體層網路編碼(Physical Layer Network Coding, PNC)來提升系統傳輸率。然而上行(Uplink)無線通訊系統中的用戶與中繼站因間距離不同而形成之遠近效應(Near-Far Effect, NFE),會導致BER大幅上升,因此本研究針對遠近效應提出總體適應性功率配置(Total Adaptive Power Allocation, TAPA)機制來調整用戶與中繼站的傳送功率,進而改善位元錯誤率。模擬結果顯示我們所提出的TAPA機制可有效改善PNC於NFE下之效能。此外,本研究亦推導數學式來分析適應性功率配置技術之效能,並透過模擬驗證所推導理論。

Cooperative diversity is effective in reducing bit error rate (BER) of wireless communication systems. However, the relay-based systems have a major drawback which is the degradation of throughput due to half-duplex signaling. Therefore, the physical layer network coding (PNC) is adopted in this study to improve system transmission rate. However, near-far effect (NFE) occurred in the relay station receiver owing to unequal transmit power among users results in the increase of bit error rate. To overcome this difficulty, a total adaptive power allocation (TAPA) mechanism is proposed to adjust transmit power of users and relay station. Simulation result verifies the effectiveness of the proposed TAPA scheme in BER performance improvement under NFE. Notably, we also derive mathematical formulation to analyze performance improvement of PNC owing to TAPA mechanism, and verify the formulation via simulation.
