由集塵灰及粗氧化鋅以水熱法合成一維氧化鋅

Preparation of 1-D ZnO by Hydrothermal Method from Electric Arc Furnace Dust and Crude Zinc Oxide

摘要


電弧爐煉鋼集塵灰中富含鉛、鋅、鐵等重金屬,其中鋅的含量更高達20%以上,具有回收之價值。鋅大部份(約70%)以氧化鋅結晶相存在集塵灰中,僅少部分(約30%)以難溶的鋅鐵尖晶石相存在。台灣鋼聯處理集塵灰總量每年約14萬噸,其處理方法是將集塵灰經過旋轉窯爐(Waelz Process)製程將易揮發的鋅,經過急冷裝置將鋅沉降收集,此為鋼聯的產品粗氧化鋅;大部份會送至日本作精煉處理,少部份則賣給製作氯化鋅之下游廠商。 由於奈米氧化鋅價格亦高,用途更廣,實驗將利用Waelz Process產出之粗氧化鋅為起始原料,以水熱法將氧化鋅合成一維的氧化鋅,期能以最低成本達成最高附加價值,作為提升資源化附加價值方向。實驗先將集塵灰及粗氧化鋅作純化之前理,再利用水熱法進一步將浸漬出的氧化鋅合成一維氧化鋅,實驗參數包括固液比、溫度、時間、pH值。由實驗結果顯示,低固液比、高pH值及添加CTAB可得到較高的長徑比。

The production of steel using electric arc furnaces (EAF) for smelting results in the generation of large quantities of dust (EAFD) requiring disposal. Most of the disposal processes focused on the recovery of zinc oxide and the direct-reducted iron using the carbon-thermal reduction process. Among the various disposal methods, the Waelz kiln process is the most extensively applied in the pyrometallurgical treatment of EAFD. About 70% of total EAFD is treated by Waels process in the USA, Japan 、 Europe, and 100% in Taiwan. The Waelz product containing impure ZnO is generally refined in the Imperial Smelting Process to produce zinc and lead metal or converted to zinc-based chemicals and fertilizer (Zuncle 1997). In this study, the hydrothermal treatments of EAFD and Waelz products were conducted and the formation of recrystallized 1-D ZnO was observed. The effects of temperature, pH value, ratio of solid/liquid (S/L) and mineralizers on the ZnO morphology and size were investigated. The results of the research indicate that the lower ratio of S/L allow for the crystallization of ZnO nanorods. Also, the lower aspect ratio can be prepared using the higher pH value or CTAB.
