考量國人使用即時通訊的比率甚高,再加上即時通訊代理人(俗稱MSN機器人)的應用日廣且逐漸興起,故本研究以輔助教學為導向,開發一套可提供教師自行建置「即時通訊代理人」的雛形軟體(命名為「MSN助教」),並以大專教師為對象,提供三位大專院校教師進行試用,藉此瞭解試用教師使用此軟體之方式與情形,以及探討試用教師對於此軟體之看法。本研究採用個案研究法,並透過檔案紀錄、訪談此兩種途徑來蒐集研究資料。研究資料經處理分析後,獲得以下結論: 一、試用教師最常使用的「MSN助教」功能為訊息廣播,其次則是建置成績供學生查詢、回答學生問題以及建置問答資料庫。 二、試用教師曾透過以下六項策略來提昇學生使用「MSN助教」軟體的動機:1.每週課前預告;2.課程教材下載網址查詢;3.課程資訊查詢;4.邀請學生共同建置問答資料庫內容;5.視學生反應擴增問答資料庫內容;6.發布課程資訊。 三、試用教師透過「MSN助教」軟體與學生所進行之互動類型雖有以下三種:1.向全體學生發布公告;2.與多位學生即時線上互動;3.與單一位學生即時線上互動;但以「向全體學生發布公告」居多。 四、試用教師認為「MSN助教」軟體目前所提供的功能皆符合其教學工作的需求,並無不符合的功能,但建議增加以下七項功能:1.預約廣播;2.匯入成績資料;3.讓學生自行編輯在本群組的暱稱;4.有新訊息時閃爍提醒;5.主動彙整與傳送訊息紀錄給教師;6.與網頁結合;7.繳交作業。 五、試用教師在試用後,對於「MSN助教」雛型軟體皆抱持正面、肯定的態度,並願意持續使用本軟體。
Instant messaging has become more popular and the application of instant messaging agents has become more diverse. Thus, the research aims to develop software named “MSN assistant” that allows professors to install instant messaging agents by themselves to assist their teaching. Three professors were invited to use the MSN assistant software and their opinions to the software were collected. The research is a case study where MSN assistant logs along with interview data were collected for analysis. The research findings are as follows: 1. The most popular function of the “MSN assistant” is message broadcasting, and other popular functions include to query scores, answer questions and build Q&A database. 2. The professors have used six strategies to improve students’ motivation to use the “MSN assistant”: (1) to preview the course outline every week; (2) to list the web addresses for downloading the course materials; (3) to query course information; (4) to invite students to build Q&A database; (5) to expand the content of database according to the responses of students; (6) to announce course information.. 3. Through “MSN assistant,” there are three types of interaction between professors and students: (1) to announce news to all, (2) to have real-time online interaction with many students at the same time, (3) to have real-time online interaction with one student at a time. However, the first interaction “to announce news to all” is more frequently used. 4. The professors think the functions that “MSN assistant” provides met the needs of their teaching. In addition, they suggest adding seven new functions as following to facilitate the utility of “MSN assistant”: reserving broadcasting, importing scores data, editing student’s nickname, new message alert, collecting and sending records to professors, combining with the webpage, and handing in an assignment. 5. The professors hold a positive attitude toward the “MSN Assistant” and are willing to continue using this software.
