聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA複合材料之熱性質與功能性研究

摘要


本論文分別探討以化學合成PET/Al2O3,及以化學合成法加入阻燃劑2-羧基乙基(苯基)次磷酸(2-Carboxyethyl(Phenylphosphinic)acid ,CEPPA),製成聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA。 本研究之實驗(I)是藉由添加不同比例Al2O3,製備出PET/Al2O3;本實驗由雙-2-羥基乙基對苯二甲酸酯(Bis-2-Hydroxylethyl Terephthalate, BHET)、乙二醇(Ethylene Glycol, EG)和Al2O3聚縮合反應生成PET/Al2O3,使之有導熱的性能。 本研究之實驗(II)是藉由添加不同比例之CEPPA與固定比例之Al2O3製備出聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA;本實驗由BHET、EG、Al2O3及CEPPA聚縮合反應生成聚酯/ Al2O3/CEPPA複合材料,其可做為多功能性聚酯複合材料;對實驗(I)及(II)之複合材料進行檢測,並觀察其化學性質、熱性質、機械性質、阻燃性質及功能性質之變化。 在PET/Al2O3與聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA複合材料之結構分析中,以傅立葉紅外光譜儀(FT-IR)檢測其化學結構,發現添加Al2O3粉體以及阻燃劑並未出現與純聚酯不同之官能基特徵峰或是造成偏移現象。由掃描式電子顯微鏡(SEM)觀察聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA表面型態之分散狀況。並以能量分散光譜儀(EDS)對其進行元素分析,顯示出鋁元素與極少量之磷元素之存在。由熱重分析儀(TGA)分析PET/Al2O3與聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA發現熱裂解溫度較純聚酯高。以示差掃描熱卡分析儀(DSC)進行檢測,發現添加Al2O3會使得複合材料熔點有下降之趨勢,聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA熔點隨著CEPPA之增加而下降,以熱電偶溫差測試分析發現添加Al2O3之PET/Al2O3,不論升溫速率、降溫速率及最高溫度皆隨著添加量之增加而提高,最後經由限氧指數(L.O.I.)測試以了解聚酯/氧化鋁/CEPPA複合材料之阻燃性質及燃燒型態。

In this study, the experiment is divided into two parts. At part (I), which the Al2O3 in various weight percentage was added during the chemosynthesis of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET);while at part (II), which the fire-retardant (2-Carboxyethyl (Phenylphosphinic) Acid, CEPPA) in various weight percentages and Al2O3 in fixed weight percentage (1%) were added during the chemosynthesis of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The Bis-2-Hydroxylethyl Terephthalate (BHET), Ethylene Glycol (EG), Al2O3 and CEPPA were adopted to synthesize polyester which contains Al2O3 and phosphorous element, therefore the products could be multi-purpose polyesters. The chemical structures of these polyesters were investigated by FT-IR. The surface analysis was observed by SEM. The results of EDS showed the existence of C、O、Al and P elements. For the thermal properties, the thermal degradation behavior of these polyesters was examined by the TGA analysis. The variation in glass transition temperature(Tg)、crystallization temperature(Tc) and melting temperature(Tm) were analyzed with DSC. The thermal conductive property of polyester which contains Al2O3 and phosphorous element were studied by thermocouple temperature difference system. Finally, the fire-retard properties and combustion state of composite materials were investigated by Limit Oxygen Index (LOI).
