自從人類開發太陽能應用技術以來,如何利用太陽能來提供冷卻及空調,以供食品儲藏和人類舒適生活需求,一直吸引著人們的注意力。尤其在亞熱帶及熱帶等太陽輻射充沛地方,太陽能冷房誘人之處,在於冷房負荷與太陽輻射幾乎呈現同步增減現象,亦即當冷房需求愈大(冷凍負荷愈大)時,往往也是太陽輻射越大之時。所以,太陽能冷房與加熱系統的合併運用,往往較單獨使用太陽能加熱來得效率高。冷凍空調在人類文明發明歷程上,佔有極為重要的角色。在已開發國家中,冷凍空調所消耗的能量,即佔相當比例,尤其在夏季期間,往往是造成尖峰用電主因。然而,隨著經濟成長和文明提昇,更加體認能源供給的有限和快速耗盡的危機,因此轉而對太陽能源利用產生極大興趣,而太陽能冷房技術即是其中重要一環。 目前太陽能空調尚未普及化,因此初置設備費較高,未來若能降低太陽能空調系統各部份組件費且改善效率,即可降低太陽能空調系統之設置成本。本文研究重點為各種太陽能空調系統之可行性,與有關太陽能集熱系統與製冷技術之聯結系統技術應用特點。
