本論文主要研究有關於Femto cell 的設計及量測方法及技術,在論文部份針對有關目前一般手機使用的頻段及種類做設計,主要講述有關 3GPP 以及 LTE 等第三代及第四代的手機通訊規範,在 RF 部份的設計需求以及法規的要求為主目前,雖然 Femto cell 尚未普及如同 802.11 的產品,可是由於使用上會與其他戶外已存在的基站做通訊,所以在設計及需求上更是較802.11 嚴格,如何改變既有的 802.11 設計思維,快速轉換到 Femto cell 設計上,為論文主要的主軸 。 由於 Femto cell 系統過於龐大,其含蓋的內容包括底層的嵌入式系統,還有手機通訊部份的傳輸協定以及後端的資料庫系統等,大部份都是著重在軟體的演算法,因此在本篇論文,著眼在與 RF 有關的設計部份跟量測以及相關無線法規等需求為主。
The purpose of this thesis is to design and measure the RF circuits for deploying femto cells. The operating bands and specfications of the femto cells are indicated at the operations of the 3GPP and LTE mobile handsets. Compared with the popular 802.11 a/b/g/n systems, the operation of the femo cell with the outdoor base stations needs to be considered, and thus the specification is stringent and the design strategy is complex. The major contribution of this thesis is to effectively realize the RF circuit of femto cell by leveraging the conventional 802.11 system design methodology. The complete femto cell includes the embedded system and the transmission protocal and database for the mobile handset communication in datalink and network layers, which are mainly focused on the alogrithm for software engineer and are far beyond the scope of this thesis. Hence, we aim at the design and measurement of the RF circuits of femto cells to meet the regulatories of 3GPP and LTE standards.
