消費性電子產品開發流程改善探討 — 以可攜式汽車導航商品為例

摘要


本研究認為新產品研發瓶頸應是企業優先解決的重要環結。在案例裡,M公司在決議推出GPS的研發過程中,牽涉到許多繁雜的軟體設計、軔體演算、與硬體設計等跨部門、跨企業、及跨國界的開發程序,面對如此複雜的產品開發專案,為確保所有產品都能在有效的管控狀況下設計完成,建置一個標準化、嚴謹化、客製化、整體化的研發系統作業流程是刻不容緩的。 而經由文獻探討,M公司找到適合該公司的新產品開發程序,主要是引用了Karl T. Ulrich, Steven D. Eppinger在「產品設計與開發?(Product Design and Development)所提出來的六階段開發程序(企劃、概念發展、系統層級設計、細部設計測試、與改進初期生產六個階段),加上錯誤追蹤系統,套用在新產品A的流程改善,的確在效益及成功率方面都有所提昇。歸納可以有如下之優點: 1.加強產品研發流程風險管控:將管理階層納入流程,藉由以流程面帶動管理面的方式達到提昇研發效率的目標。這將可以縮短研發及製造流程。 2.產品研發系統整合與知識分享功能:整合內外部資訊,並提供企業營運所需的資料,是企業競爭必要的基本條件;而其中要能簡化企業使用者的作業環境,並能進一步地提供整合性企業解決方案,如此才能執簡馭繁,增加彈性空間。 3.快速的市場反應靈敏度及搶先規劃商品上市:快速的市場反應靈敏度有助於提升商品的市場價值,也是區隔市場帶來銷售契機的有效途徑。 消費性電子產品日新月異,為求生存,科技公司須能不斷推陳出新以迎合消費者多變的需求,而一套有效益的研發流程,便顯得特別重要。希望藉由本文的實證與分析,能提供後進者在未來規劃推出新產品的一些參考。

The consumer’s electronic products have been broadly applied on many aspects of our daily lives. Because of the consumer’s various appetites on using these products, how to attract the consumer’s attention by providing them more fashionable and muti-functional products is the contemporary producer’s focus. The main goal of this thesis is how to build a better and efficient flow process on design-production-promotion cycle by using GPS car navigation as an example. The proposed GPS Portable Navigation Device consists of position, sensor, and controller systems. By using carrier-phase data from GPS receivers, the GPS compass may replace the traditional magnetic compass or gyroscope applied in car navigation. Since the market demand is still rising, how to seize the chance of this emerging market and meet the consumers’ requirement is an important issue. Therefore, the producers must improve all the R&D and technology flow process. According to my study, the core technology is the key factor if the new product will been launched to the market. Secondly, the R&D team must get the fully authorized approval from the top management in order to remove all the obstacles encountered during manufacturing process. Thirdly, the team work mechanism is also contributory to final success. Lastly, the sufficient resource committed from the top management is also an important issue. The example of M company taken by the thesis applied the Development Process by Karl T. Ulrich, Steven D. Eppinger and Bug Tracking System, also known as Defect Tracking System, to overcome the obstacles encountered on developing the new products. By applying this system and keeping to monitor and maintain the SOP (standard of procedure), the R&D process could be run more efficiently and smoothly for the good service quality. Therefore, the study highlights the importance of team work techniques and applying the Bug Tracking System to the adaptation of the developing the new consumer’s electronic products for the flow’s improvement.
