以原位聚合法製備聚醯亞胺/多壁奈米碳管複合材料

Preparation of the Polyimide/Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWNTs) Nanocomposites by In Situ Polymerization

摘要


本實驗將奈米碳管置於混酸(硫酸:硝酸=3:1)溶液中,利用超音波震盪對表面或末端結構產生氧化作用並接上羧酸基(-COOH),最後再以原位聚合反應形成PAA/MWNTs複合材料,經由旋轉塗佈法及階段性熱熟化步驟得到聚醯亞胺/多壁奈米碳管複合材料。在此研究中將分成添加未改質奈米碳管和改質奈米碳管二個部份來探討,並使用傅立葉轉換紅外光譜儀(FTIR)來鑑定其化學結構,熱重損失分析儀(TGA)、鉛筆硬度計(Hardness Pencil Test)、萬能試驗機(Universal Test Machine)分別測定材料的熱穩定性質和機械性質,掃描式電子顯微鏡(SEM)、穿透式電子顯微鏡(TEM)觀察材料的剖面型態和分散情形,超絕緣儀(Super Megohmmeter)觀測材料的電性。 薄膜於TGA熱分析的結果顯示添加改質奈米碳管將可提升奈米複合材料的熱裂解溫度,其中又以添加改質奈米碳管9wt%的效果最好。由拉伸測試可知添加改質奈米碳管於高分子基材,可以提升奈米複合材料的強度,其中以添加改質奈米碳管9wt%為最佳,其拉伸強度的最大值約為聚醯亞胺薄膜的1.5倍。

The experiment will treat MWNTs with mixed-acid(Sulfuric acid: Nitric acid=3:1) solution, by ultrasonicating to oxidate surface of MWNTs structure, with COOH group by in-situ polymetization. The PI/MWNTs composites are obtained by spin- coating and multi-step thermal curing process. In this study, unmodified MWNTs and modified MWNTs will both be studied. The structure of prepared PI-MWNTs was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry. The thermal properties and mechanical properties were analyzed by Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Hardness Pencil Test and Universal Test Machine, respectively. The morphology of PI-MWNTs were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The electrical conductivity was analyzed by Super Megohmmeter. The TGA results indicate that the thermal decomposition temperatures of nanocomposites will be increased by adding modified MWNTs 9wt%. The strength of nanocomposites can be increased by adding modified MWNTs 9wt%. The tensile strength of the nanocomposites is about 1.5 times of that of polyimide.
