現在市面上的商品幾乎都有條碼,這是為了讓製造商方便蒐集商品情報和了解消費趨勢,可以讓銷售業者有快速、精確地庫存管理和節省大量的櫃檯人員,便利於消費者迅速地結帳和減少計算商品金額的錯誤等。 視障者在日常生活的食、衣、住、行上都有很多不方便的地方;例如在食的部份,視障者無法像一般人一樣輕易取用食物,通常需要他人協助,若無人協助便須靠觸覺、嗅覺來推斷所取用的食品是否正確。本論文嘗試透過商品上的條碼讓視障者在無人協助的情況下確知商品的資訊。因此,製作出置放商品的平台,以影像處理的技術自動搜尋條碼的平台,並且判斷條碼內容,經遠端連線資料庫後,再以語音的方式告知視障者所放置在平台上的商品,這樣視障者就可以輕易地分辨出外型雷同的商品內容。
To help manufacturers collect products information and analyze expenditure tendency, quickly and precisely manage stock, decrease the man power and time for vending, nearly all the products have bar-code attached. There have several inconveniences for blind people on daily life such as food, clothing, living and transportation. Food for example, blind people usually need people’s help because they cannot get food easily as general people, if no assistance, they must rely on their sense of touch and sense of smell to judge whether the foodstuff is what they want or not. Our thesis focuses on helping blind people to correctly identify products through barcode. For this purpose, we introduce a platform on which product can be placed. The platform uses the technique of image processing to search the position of barcode. By connecting to the remote database, the product information is accessed. Then, a speech is played on our platform to inform blind people what product is placed on the platform. Therefore, the blind people can easily tell what the product is.
