工業設計師人格特質與個人創造力關係之研究

The Relationship between Industrial Designer’s Personality Traits and Creativity

摘要


本研究旨在探討工業設計師的人格特質與個人創造力的關係。研究以抽樣34位國立台北科技大學工業設計系與創新設計研究所學生為實驗對象,進行兩項設計任務,採用MBTI 性格類型指標(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)區分其受測者人格特質;並採用CPSS創造性產品語意量表(Creative Product Semantic Scale)評估受測者其設計的創造力表現。 根據研究結果顯示得到下列結論: (一)就「外向型 內向型」(Extroverted Introverted)兩組受測者而言,其創造力分數無顯著差異。 (二)就「直覺型 辨識型」(Intuition-Sensing)兩組受測者而言,直覺型受測者創造力分數顯著高於辨識型。 (三)就「感性型 理性型」(Feeling Thinking)兩組受測者而言,其創造力分數無顯著差異。 (四)就「決斷型 熟思型」(Judging Perceiving)兩組受測者而言,決斷型受測者創造力分數顯著高於熟思型。

This research attends to determine the relationship between industrial designer's personality traits and creativity. The subjects were thirty-four students of the Department of Industrial design and Graduate Institute of Innovation and Design of National Taipei University of Technology. Their personality traits were sorted by means of MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). They were asked to individually complete a design task. The results were assessed using CPSS (Creative Product Semantic Scale) to evaluate their creativity. The findings include: (1) The difference between the Extroverted-Type subject’s creativity and the Introverted-Type one’s is not significant. (2) The Intuition-Type subject’s creativity is significantly higher than the Sensing-Type one’s. (3) The difference between the Feeling-Type subject’s creativity and the Thinking-Type one’s is not significant. (4) The Judging-Type subject’s creativity is significantly higher than the Perceiving-Type one’s.
