The focus of this study was to investigate the relationship of design knowledge, design strategy and design creativity. According to the literature, innovation, value, and style are three components that make up a creative product, and thus are useful to evaluate the products in the current research. Seventy-seven participants were divided into two groups, with two different representation of given knowledge: the guidelines and cases. They were also identified as either professional or inexperienced. The results indicated how the knowledge representations creativity performance of various groups. The relationship among the use of knowledge, the design strategy and creativity performance was also discussed. Finally, suggestions as to how to improve creativity and efficiency of design were also provided.
