摘要

進入二十一世紀後由於寬頻網路、高性能個人電腦及工作站、視訊壓縮標準，以及許多應用，譬如數位圖書館、醫學資料庫、商標及著作權資料庫、地理資訊系統等之來臨，使得多媒體資料庫系統愈來愈重要。隨著多媒體資訊的成長，如何有效率的處理影像資料成為一項重要的課題。在影像資料庫系統中，影像相似擷取常常是根據空間關係推論的。本篇論文利用9DLT 矩陣為影像的資料表示法，針對張真誠博士所提出的除餘式簽章抽取法，利用物體間的空間關係為主的查詢，但因資料庫裡有大量的物件而產生的複雜運算導致效率減低。本篇論文提出了一種階層的除餘式簽章抽取法，我們的方法能減少記憶空間以及運算溢位的可能性。

Because of the coming of wide-band network, high performance PC, workstation and many applications, such as digital library, medical information system, label and copyright database, and so on in 21 century, multimedia database system is getting more and more important. With the growth of multimedia information, it has become an essential research area of how to deal with image processing effectively. Spatial relation between objects is an essential feature of image. Therefore, image similar retrieval is usually inferred based on these spatial relations. Here, we use 9DLT Matrix for the image scheme representation. In this thesis, we propose Hierarchic Module Oriented Signature Extraction to improve Module-Oriented Signature Extraction by Chang C.C. This approach can reduce the required memory space and the possibilities of computing overflow quite well.
