Parameter Space Analysis of Linear and Nonlinear Systems Student: Yen-Min Jen Advisor: Dr. Ying J. Huang Institute of Electrical Engineering Yuan-Ze University Abstract The main purpose of thesis is to analyze the limit cycle and its stability of control system by stability equation method, describing function method and parameter space method. At first, a linear system is analyzed by the use of stability equation and the result of this method is seen. Then a nonlinear system with several nonlinear elements is used to design the PI controller. The nonlinear elements is modeled by the use of describing function method and the gain of controller is obtained in the parameter plane. Finally, when there are different values of parameters, the limit cycle and stability of non-linear control system will be influnced.
