台灣與中國大陸泛用聚乙烯塑膠加工產業競爭優勢之比較

摘要


台灣與中國大陸兩地的許多產業都有其相似性的發展過程。本研究是將泛用聚乙烯塑膠加工產業作為一個研究標的,希望利用產業、環境與企業三個構面分析,與交易成本理論的分析,藉由不同的地理區域、加工廠商的技術門檻高低與自主研發能力高低等的因素,將兩地的產業異同點明白地呈現出來。並從其中歸納出兩地產業成員的競爭優勢為何? 本研究所獲之結論如下: 一、原料供應商同時在兩地都適用的競爭優勢主要來自於低價格、穩定的品質與準時的交貨三項;而中國大陸市場則更希望原料供應商在客訴處理、技術服務與包裝儲存便利性等的項目上,也能加強而幫助加工廠商更有市場競爭力,做為原料供應商更多的競爭優勢項目。 二、兩地通路商共同的競爭優勢來源主要都是講求低成本。台灣的通路商因為環境與經濟規模小的競爭壓力與衝擊,則必須更利用差異化與焦點策略來突顯出個別之競爭優勢。 三、製品加工廠商因其技術門檻與自主研發能力之不同,在兩地市場中亦有不同之競爭優勢定位。大體而言,台灣廠商之競爭優勢主要源自於其低成本與技術之領先;中國大陸廠商因其國內市場大但品質要求不高,且技術水準較為落後之故,大多仍以低成本作為在市場中唯一競爭優勢之來源。 鑒於台灣與中國大陸兩地各種產業之交流互動日漸頻繁,台商前進中國大陸作為生產基地而行銷全球市場的成功案例更是如數家珍。希望本研究能夠提供一個客觀且具有參考價值之結論,對於日後兩地泛用聚乙烯塑膠產業成員在投資與經營決策時,有所助益。

Many different industries development process are quite similar in both Taiwan and China market. This study is targeting volume Polyethylene industry to analyze three major aspects which include Industrial, Environmental and Enterprise and the theory of transaction cost. To figure out the commons and differences of the industry in Taiwan and China markets based on different geography, products technology requirements and manufacturers’ R&D capability. At the same time, consolidate what are competitive advantage sources of both Taiwan and China industrial members. The main conclusions of this study as follows; 1.The common competitive advantages of Taiwan and China Polyethylene material suppliers are low price, stable quality and on-time delivery. Furthermore, China manufacturers request suppliers’ better service on customer’s feedback handling, technical service and products packaging and storage convenience to enhance their market competitiveness. These additional requirements could be included in the material suppliers’ competitive advantages in China market as well. 2.Low cost is the common competitive advantage for both Taiwan and China distributors. However, Taiwan distributors need to emphasis their unique competitive advantages through applying differentiate and focus strategies because of the impact and challenge from strong competition and small economy scale. 3.Taiwan and China manufacturers own different competitive advantages and market position base on different products technology requirement and internal R&D capability. In general, Taiwan’s manufactures have low cost and advance technology advantages. China’s manufacturers only focus on low cost competitive advantage because the market demand potential is huge but quality requirement and technology capability are still in low level. It’s getting more active interaction in many industries between Taiwan and China market. There are so many successful cases to prove Taiwan transplants can be manufacturing in China and marketing to global. This study would like to provide Polyethylene plastic industrial members a reliable conclusion for reference. Hopefully, the conclusion can be helpful to both Taiwan and China Polyethylene plastic industrial members on making investment and business operation decisions in future.
