時代快速地進步,新的理論與知識不斷地被發展出來,人們如果停下學習的腳步,將會很快被時代所淘汰。在繁忙的工商社會中,可以超越時空限制的遠距教學是現代人充實自我、終身學習的最佳途徑。隨著網路科技的進步與普及,網網相連的網際網路成為遠距教學的最佳管道。傳統的同步和非同步式遠距教學系統各有其優缺點與限制,本研究的目的即在於整合同步與非同步遠距教學系統的長處,發展一整合式網際網路遠距教學的模式,並且以系統實作的方式來驗證此模式的可行性。經過評估後,本研究選擇了「統計製程管制」以及「生產計劃與控制」為主題課程,實際建立了一「整合式網際網路遠距教學系統」並且上線進行測試,經過實驗室測試與初步的使用者測試後,證明本系統的確有整合同步與非同步遠距教學模式的教學能力。本研究發展整合式網際網路遠距教學系統的模式與經驗,可以提供其他進行遠距教學的相關人士做為參考。
The advent of interactive multimedia, satellite communications, and the Internet has dramatically expanded the number and variety of instructional technology alternatives. Distance learning (DL) is one of such instructional alternatives. There are several advantages and disadvantages for a traditional distance learning system with synchronous or asynchronous functions. The purpose of this thesis is to develop an integrated system of a modern synchronous and asynchronous distance learning to overcome the traditional DL disadvantages. The results of testing the two developed DL systems, Statistical Process Control and Operations Management and Control, show that the idea used to implement the synchronous and asynchronous DL system based on Internet technology is impressive and promising. Both low cost and high performance of the developed systems in this thesis provide the potential to enable dramatic improvements in life-time education and are valuable for researchers and practitioners in DL field.
