數位博物館展示設計─以科學工藝博物館網路特展「汽車」為例

摘要


隨著網路技術的迅速發展,數位博物館已成為國際間對文化資產保存及社會教育的重點計畫。目前數位博物館發展最大的挑戰,是使用者經驗需求如何滿足的問題。部份數位博物館並不能滿足使用者對博物館的期待,探究其原因,這些數位博物館在基本架構上只是依循一般的網站建置,缺乏使用者在個別場所的適切需求考量。本研究從博物館的本質出發,了解博物館既有的展示功能與原理,以探究數位博物館在網路空間之設計原則與展示方法。   本研究強調展示與資訊設計原理的實際運用與回饋檢討,方法上運用質性的紮根理論探索實務工作所面臨的問題。使用者及設計者的互動關係,是展示的核心,也是本研究的重要觀點。數位博物館展示設計,基本上面臨在有限的時間和傳輸量內,使觀眾樂於學習的挑戰。本研究從了解博物館展示設計開始,探討展示的基礎─資訊設計,歸納出數位博物館展示的規劃設計模式,以及使用互動資訊圖表為主體的展示手法。透過展示系統製作,實際使用網路互動多媒體製作工具,完成網路特展個案;其中工作經驗的記錄回饋,及理論歸納的驗證檢討,是本研究的重要收獲。

In pace with the advance of information technology, the “digital museum” has been a trend for cultural property reservation and social education. Now the challenge is changing to how to provide best experiences for users, not about technical issues. Those digital museums which just follow the usual rules for ordinary web development didn’t consider the appropriate needs for their users in specific contexts. The digital museum should be beyond “another web site.” This research reviewed the nature of museum as a start to discuss about the better way to construct a digital museum. This research was practice-oriented. The focus was put on the application of theory integration and examination of practical feedback. The method of grounded theory was used to explorer the real world in the new area. The interaction between users and designers is a core concept of exhibition, and also a important viewpoint of this research. With the challenge to make visitors learn happily under limited time and bandwidth, we started to review the basic museum exhibition conceptions, to take information design as the foundation of exhibit, and to develop a model for digital museum exhibition design. We also develop a new way to use “interactive diagram” as a main exhibit method for digital museum. Here a project will be completed with the new method for a web special exhibit, “Car.” Through the exploration of the project, the findings could help to improve the integration of theory and practice.
