無線感測網路(Wireless Sensor Networks)通常可使用在環境監控、交通監視和軍事環境的偵測等方面,由於其應用上的多樣性,因此在近年來受到廣泛的研討。基本上,無線感測網路是由資料收集中心(Base Station卅Sink)和一群感測節點所組成。資料收集中心具有強大的資料收集、處理以及儲存能力。然而,一般的感測節點則受限於電池電量,通常只負責環境感測和收集傳送感測資料。 在無線感測網路的研究中,研究者通常只建構單一類型的傳送機制,此機制雖適用於正常資料傳輸,但對緊急資料而言,則會發生欠缺可靠度的問題。近年來,已有研究者提出分開處理兩種封包類型的機制,唯其執行效率仍有改進之空間。本論文將針對正常資料提出平衡使用節點電量的做法,以延長整體網路之生存時間,同時針對緊急資料做有效處理,以減少節點電量不必要的消耗。
Wireless sensor networks have widely applications on many important areas such as monitoring environment, traffic, and military conditions, and have been broadly discussed in the past few years. Basically, wireless sensor networks are composed of a base station and a group of sensor nodes. The base station possesses powerful capabilities to collect, process, and store data. However, due to the limited battery power, the sensor nodes are usually responsible for sensing the environment and transmitting the sensing data. In the research area of wireless sensor networks, most researchers usually construct one type of the transmission mechanism. Although this mechanism is suitable for the normal data transmission, it lacks of the reliability for the urgent data. In recent years, some researchers proposed mechanisms for processing these two kinds of data separately, but their mechanisms may have some drawbacks. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to balance node's energy consumption for the normal data such that the network lifetime could be enlarged. We also present an efficient method for processing the urgent data to reduce the node's energy consumption.
