全氟磺酸化樹酯(Nafion)是一個具有氟碳主鏈及帶-SO3-的支鏈,且具有二個溶解參數之高分子。Nafion分子在溶劑中之溶解性及分子構形(conformation)受溶劑之溶解參數及介電常數影響很大,進一步會影響到觸媒粒子在Nafion溶液中分散性。 本論文利用動態黏彈儀(Viscoelasticity analyzer,VE)、動態光散射(Dynamic light scattering,DLS)研究Nafion/LiCl溶液物理性質。將H2PtCl6/Nafion揮發溶劑注型成膜,經由H2還原Pt+4離子之Pt觸媒,利用微差熱掃描分析儀(Differential scanning calorimeter,DSC),X光繞射(X-ray diffraction,XRD)及穿透式電子顯微鏡(Transmission electron microscope,TEM )觀察觸媒在各溶劑中還原分佈情形。利用循環伏安儀(Cyclic voltammetry,CV) 探討還原之Pt觸媒在碳紙上的使用效率,以期尋求適當的溶劑製作觸媒層。 本論文所使用之溶劑:二甲基乙醯胺(DMAc),二甲基甲醯胺(DMF),甲基甲醯胺(NMF),甲醇/水(MeOH/H2O (4:1 g/g));乙醇/水(EtOH/H2O (4:1 g/g));異丙醇/水(IPA/H2O (4:1 g/g))。
Nafion, an ionomer composed of perfluorocarbon backbone and vinyl ether side chains terminated with –SO3-groups, has dual solubility parameters, i.e. δ1= 9.7 (cal/cm3)1/2 relating to perfluorocarbon backbones and δ2= 17.3 (cal/cm3)1/2 relating to sulfonic acid side chains. The solubility parameters and dielectric constants of solvents have great influences on the conformations of Nafion in the catalyst solutions. In this study, we investigate the physical properties of Nafion/LiCl solutions by viscoelasticity analyzer (VE) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). Then, the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) were used to investigate the morphology of thin films prepared from H2PtCl6/Nafion solutions after reduction of Pt+4 ions to Pt. Cyclic voltammetry(CV) technique was used to determine electrochemical active surface area of Pt catalysts after reduction of Pt+4 on carbon paper. The solvents are DMAc (N,N-dimethylacetamide), DMF (N,N-dimethylformamide), NMF (N-methylformamide), MeOH/water(methanol/water), EtOH/water (ethanol/water) and IPA/water(propanol/water).
