台灣企業採用開放原碼軟體意願之調查與分析

摘要

在當前經濟不景氣的環境之下，又有金融海嘯襲捲全球，企業組織無不為了生存而想盡辦法墫節支出。過去企業組織為了提升自我競爭力而紛紛投入電子化，雖然有明顯得到益處，但同時也不知不覺地投入微軟帝國的懷抱，導致後來倍受微軟控制，加上智慧財產權的重視，為了避免盜版糾紛，企業組織紛紛花錢購買大量軟體的版權租約，造成資訊預算年年攀升，嚴重地影響了企業組織的整體成本支出。在開放原始碼出現之後，因其具有成本低、容易取得、版權紛爭少等特色，目前在世界各國已逐年受到重視，除了許多大廠表示投入使用，更有許多國家政府立法展現支持態度，讓開放原碼軟體可以成為電子化後的另一種選擇。
　　本研究目的為了解台灣企業在採用開放原碼軟體的情形與意願，同時找出影響企業採用開放原碼軟體時的考量因素。本研究依據過去文獻建立出組織背景、外部環境、開放原碼軟體特性以及預期效益等四個構面與一系列的假說來探討採用意願，並以網路問卷方式寄送電子郵件給予企業組織之負責人或是資訊管理部門人員填寫，歷經兩個月的時間。最後資料經統計分析後發現，台灣企業採用開放原碼軟體時所考量的因素主要包括組織的資訊預算、開放原碼軟體廠商的技術或升級支援、軟體價格、軟體品質以及降低資訊設備費用等五項因素。

Nowadays, firms increasingly rely on software to solve business problems. However, the software expense has become a burden for firms. With the development of e-business, Open Source Software (OSS) becomes an option for firms, due to its’ benefits, such as low cost, high quality and availablily of source code. Derived from previous studies, a research framework was developed to examine this issue from the perspectives of firm content, external environment, open source software attributes and perceived benefits. The main objective is to find out the factors that influence a firm’s decision whether or not to adopt OSS. The findings of the survey indicated five main factors, including firm’s IT budget, OSS vendors’ support, software price, software quality and reduction of expense on IT equipment.
