數位角色設計為動畫或數位遊戲產業中相當重要的研究領域,而怪獸角色的設計,在數位遊戲的應用上更為廣泛。本研究以此為切入點,提出一套數位遊戲怪獸角色造形的設計方法,藉以輔助新進設計師提升其設計創造力,透過實驗研究法之成效評估,本研究所提出之設計方法的確能輔助部分受測者設計數位遊戲怪獸角色,並且提升受測者在遊戲怪獸角色設計之「流暢力」、「變通力」、以及「精密力」。研究中透過專家評量也同時發現,本研究所提出之設計方法能夠有效提升受測者在遊戲怪獸角色設計作品之「創新性」、「適用性」、以及「完整性」,這其中又以提升受測者本身之角色設計「精密力」最為重要。
Digital character design is an important research area in the field of computer animation and digital games. The monster design has also been largely applied to the digital games. To increase designer’s design creativity, this research offers a method for designers to design the shape of digital game monsters, and to evaluate this method empirically. According to the study, the proposed design method can actually assist some of the novice to design digital game monsters, and by following this method in the design process can also increase the novice’s design creativity, which includes design fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. Furthermore, from the empirical results of expert’s evaluation, it is found that the proposed design method can also effectively improve the innovation, adaptability, and completeness of the novice’s works, from this point of view, to improve the novice’s capability of design elaboration will play the most important role.
