核心銀行系統是銀行最重要的平臺,核心銀行系統提供了客戶各項產品及服務以及銀行本身如何維持穩固營運以通過市場繁榮及衰退的週期。這些核心系統是銀行資訊系統最重要的組成部分。簡單地說,沒有這樣的核心銀行系統,銀行即無法服務客戶以及本身的營運。 儘管核心銀行系統扮演如此重要的角色,大部分銀行的核心銀行系統都已運作了很長的時間。幾乎所有大型銀行的大型主機系統,都已使用超過 25年。雖然大型主機系統通常穩定和可以昇級擴充,但這些系統普遍缺乏靈活性,並且維護相當昂貴。越來越多的跡象表明,許多大型銀行認為,現在是已經是到了要轉換更現代,靈活的架構新一代核心系統的時候了。 本研究提出的導入步驟,強化了神州數碼軟件公司提出的Core Banking System導入方法論。強化後的方法論包括九個步驟,分別是1.導入規劃與策略、2.核心銀行系統培訓、3.需求收集與分析、4.差異分析、5.客製化開發、6.資料對應及轉換、7.系統測試、8.上線準備、9.正式上線,並以個案驗證此方法論之可用性。本方法論可幫助導入Core Banking System的企業透過系統化的方式,定義及解決潛在的問題,進而提高企業導入Core Banking System的成功率。
Core Banking Systems, the production platforms on which banks process their services, factor into how well banks can sustain their solid market performance through boom and bust cycles. These core systems form the most critical component of any bank’s technology environment. Simply put without their core systems banks would come to an immediate grinding halt. In spite of their essential business role, Core Banking Systems are showing signs of age. Virtually all large banks have mainframe-based systems that are more than 25 years old. While typically stable and scalable, these systems generally lack flexibility and are expensive to maintain. Increasingly, indications among large banks suggest that the time is now to transform core systems with more modern flexible architectures. This study proposes a methodology, enhanced the implementation approach from Digit China Ltd. The enhanced methodology includes nine steps: 1. Implementation Plan & Strategy、 2.Core Banking System Training、3. Requirement Gathering & Analysis、4. Gap Analysis、5. Customization、6. Data Mapping & Conversion、7. SIT & UAT、8. Operation Readiness、9. Cut Over. A case study is used to demonstrate the usability of proposed methodology. It helps to identify and resolve the potential problems for each Core banking system implementation process systematically and thereby increase the probability of Core Banking system implementation success.
