一般來說,通常會採行「偽善」行為來維持環境和樂氛圍的假象(王源欽, 2008)。馬基維利在過去的傳記中提供了許多關於「利」之通則,不僅可以運用在政治領域,對於商業角度也是無往不利。隨著社會變遷,經濟結構的轉型,很多工作開始將高學歷的條件納入升遷之依據。面對高學歷較容易升遷的工作需求,已踏入社會的工作者大多還是選擇繼續工作,但也出現一些重視工作成就的人選擇重拾書本在職進修,以獲得工作上的利益。因此本研究將以在職專班學生做為本研究之研究對象進行探討其位於組織內的價值觀及行為表現,同時探討位於同組織中,另一群選擇維持現況持續工作者之間的差異。 過去對於馬基維利主義傾向之研究,不是無法獲得研究資料的支持,就是影響之程度不顯著,且較多負面意涵之研究。而本研究顯示馬基維利主義傾向越高,在情緒的評估、調節與運用上也越好,此結果不同於過往之馬基維利傾向代表負面意涵之研究。最後,本研究亦修訂出一套馬基維利傾向之量表,以利後續對於馬基維利主義有興趣之學者研究。並探討在各種不同背景條件下是否影響到馬基維利主義及情緒商數表現,並在問卷調查後得到下列之研究結果: 假設一:不同的個人背景資料會有不同之馬基維利傾向(部分成立) 假設二:不同的個人背景資料會有不同之情緒商數傾向(部分成立) 假設三:馬基維利主義傾向越高,個人情緒商數表現越好(成立)
Generally speaking, there is usually a need to be “hypocritical” to maintain peaceful atmosphere. Machiavelli talked about several advantages in his biography, the rule not only applies in the politics, but also in business. With the economic restructuring and society transformation, higher education degrees for promotion becomes a universal phenomenon. The subjects of this research are EMBA students alone with their colleagues in Yuan-Ze University to investigate their values and behavior in the company. Previous studies in Machiavellian Personality Scale do not show significant results and most with negative implications. This study shows that the higher the Machiavellian Personality Scale, the higher the Emotional Quotient. In the end, this study revised the existing Machiavellian Personality Scale and created a new one for future research. This study discusses the effect of the difference in personal demographics on Machiavellianism and EQ. The conclusions of this research are: Hypothesis 1: Personal Demographics of different individuals has different Machiavellian tendencies. (Partially Supported) Hypothesis 2: Personal Demographics of different individuals has different Emotional Quotient tendencies. (Partially Supported) Hypothesis 3: Higher Machiavellian tendency results in better the performance of Emotional Quotient. (Supported)
