影響台南地區國中畢業生就近入學之因素

摘要


本研究旨在探討影響台南地區國中畢業生就近入學的因素。研究者運用邏輯迴歸分析、地理資訊系統等工具,分析1,132位台南縣市公立高中一年級學生資料。本研究為瞭解影響國中畢業生就近入學的個人因素,其中包括學生的個人背景與地區因素,並且探討學生居住地與就讀學校所在地二者的空間分佈。研究結果顯示:地區因素是影響學生就近入學選擇的主要原因。雖然,影響國中畢業生就近入學的因素包括學生的家庭社經特徵(例如,父親教育程度愈高,學生就近入學的可能性愈高),但學生的就近入學反映地區因素的影響效果──就近入學的情形會受到學生居住地區的地理位置影響(例如,學生居住地區的資源可近性、都市化程度與就讀學校的層級,會影響學生就近入學的選擇),而且學生的居住地區會反映個人背景的差異。換言之,就近入學實則反映教育機會的地域不均等現象。

The research is to exanimate the influence of factors that affect nearby-enrollment high-schools in Tainan. This research will adopt Logistic Regression Model and GIS to analyze 1,132 students studying in public senior high school in Tainan. This research explores the personal factors that affect students choosing nearby-enrollment high-schools, including factor of students’ personal background and region, and the spatial distribution of students’ residence and the location of schools. The conducted research showed that the choice of nearby-enrollment will be affected by the regional factor. The exploring items include the social-economic status of students(for example , the higher education their fathers have, the higher of possibility students choose nearby-enrollment), but it shows that the regional factor reflects the effect on students choosing nearby-enrollment. That means the geography of students’ residence affects students choosing nearby-enrollment(for example, the resource accessibility of students’ residence, level of urbanization and the grade of schools). And the students’ residence reflects the difference of personal background. In other words, how students choose nearby-enrollment high-schools shows the phenomenon of geographic equality of educational opportunity.
