網頁嵌入式註解服務之架構與建置

摘要


有許多的研究和發展致力於將註解技術應用在數位內容中,而他們的成果顯示註解在很多領域中應用是非常成功的。目前發展者大多以proxy、CGI和client的方式將註解技術導入到線上系統中。若教師要用這三種方式來導入註解技術是非常困難的,因為教師必需具備專業的資訊技能才有能力發展新的系統或改變舊有的系統。因此,本研究提出一個註解服務架構(AnnoServ)來解決此一問題。AnnoServ是以嵌入script的方式,來讓線上系統能夠有註解相關的功能。教師在其欲分享的網頁內容中,以嵌入式工具來加入兩段的script程式,之後在學生在造訪該教師的網頁時,即可使用註解功具來進行閱讀的動作。 本研究的貢獻可歸納為下列五項:(1) 提供一個發展線上系統的新架構 (2) 使用分析層級程序法來評估現有的註解功能,提供日後設計註解系統的一個指標 (3) 實作此一架構並能正常地在跨瀏覽器和跨平台的環境下執行 (4) 減低教師導入註解系統的障礙 (5) 增進數位學習回饋的流程。

The research and development in annotation technology of digital content are increasing very fast. Annotations always have many benefits whatever discussed in many perspectives. There are three ways to adopt the annotated function into on-line system: CGI-based, client-based and proxy-based. However, in order to develop a new system or to modify an existing system by these three ways, teacher must to be an expert of many technical skills. In these situations, the barrier will appear while they implement the system. We therefore propose an annotation service architecture called AnnoServ that can solve this problem. AnnoServ serves the on-line system by embedding the script and provides annotation tools to students. Instructor embeds the script into HTML document by using embedded tool, and uploads HTML document to web server. Consequently, students could read instructor’s web pages with interactive annotation tools. This work has five advantages: (1) Provide a new alternative architecture for developing on-line system. (2) Assess users’ needs for all annotation functions by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and provide a useful guidance for designing annotation system. (3) Implement the web page embedded annotation service in cross browser and cross platform environment. (4) Eliminate the barrier when adopting the annotation system. (5) Improve the feedback process by annotating on the web.
