坐式生活型態之女性在單次高強度間歇與中強度持續運動間之情緒反應

Acute emotional responses during high-intensity intermittent exercise and moderate-intensity continuous exercise in sedentary women

摘要


研究目的:本實驗探討高強度間歇(HIIT)與中強度持續(MICT)兩種運動模式,對於坐式生活女性情緒反應之影響。 方法:本研究共徵召30位身體質量指數 (BMI) 正常及30位BMI過重之坐式生活型態之女性。受試者先進行最大耗氧量腳踏車測試,接著隨機進行HIIT及MICT的運動訓練,HIIT為3分鐘暖身加18分鐘高低強度變化之主運動,單回為45秒最大瓦特數(Wmax)和75秒阻力50W,循環9次;MICT為3分鐘暖身及強度為50%耗氧量儲量之中強度主運動。會在運動前、運動中,及結束後30分鐘內詢問運動自覺強度量表(RPE),自我評估情緒量表(SAM),及主觀運動經驗量表(SEES)。最後一次運動訓練為受試者在兩種運動模式中擇一完成。 結果:在運動過程中一般與肥胖兩組間的情緒反應沒有差異,但在進行兩種運動時的情緒反應有顯著不同。運動過程中HIIT的RPE分數顯著高於MICT,HIIT在SAM的愉悅分數顯著低於MICT,而HIIT的覺醒及主導分數皆顯著高於MICT,HIIT在SEES的正向心理分數顯著低於MICT,而HIIT的心理壓力與疲乏分數皆顯著高於MICT。 結論:進行HIIT時坐式生活女性有較負面的情緒反應,且跟本身體重正常或過重無關。受試者在選擇自選運動時皆選MICT,代表運動時的情緒反應可能會影響到未來運動的選擇。

Background: The most common reason for physical inactivity is lack of time. The high-intensity interval training (HIIT) has been shown to be effective in increasing cardiorespiratory endurance and lipid oxidation. HIIT is also an efficient mode of exercise. It may be a feasible mode of exercise for sedentary individuals. However, the effect of HIIT on psychological responses in sedentary women remains unknown. Purpose: To investigate the effects of an acute bout of HIIT and moderate intensity continuous training (MICT) on psychological responses in sedentary women. Method: Thirty women with normal body mass index (BMI) and 30 with BMI over 24 kg/m2 participated in the study. All participants completed a graded exercise test on a cycle ergometer to determine their peak oxygen uptake (VO2max) and maximal heart rate (HRmax). Next, participants performed two exercise sessions (HIIT and MICT) in random order. The HIIT consisted of 3 minutes of warm-up and 18 minutes of main exercise, in which participants cycled 45 seconds at maximum intensity (Wmax) followed by 75 seconds of recovery at 50 watts repeated for 9 intervals. The MICT consisted of 3 minutes of warm-up and 16-22 minutes of main exercise at 50% VO2 reserve. Participants chose their preferred exercise mode (HIIT or MICT) during the third session. The three sessions were scheduled at least 48 hours apart. Psychological responses were assessed at baseline, midpoint, the end of exercise session, and 5, 15, and 30 minutes post exercise, using the rating of perceived exertion (RPE), Self-Assessment-Manikin (SAM), and Subjective Exercise Experience Scale (SEES). Result: There were no differences in psychological responses between normal and overweight groups during exercise. The psychological responses during HIIT and MICT were significantly different. The RPE scores were significantly higher in HITT than in MICT. The pleasure scores of SAM were significantly lower in HITT as compared to that in MICT. Both arousal scores and dominance scores of SAM were significantly higher in HITT. The positive well-being scores of SEES were significantly lower in HITT as compared to that in MICT. Both psychological distress scores and fatigue scores of SEES were significantly higher in HITT. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that psychological responses in MICT were more positive than in HIIT. It is suggested that MICT may be a more suitable and acceptable exercise program for sedentary women.
