2-phenylbenzothiazoles are an important class of molecules and a privileged heterocyclic scaffold in biologically active. Especially, they are potential anti-tumor activity against inter colon, ovarian, alia breast and renal cell. In this thesis, we report a practical method to synthesize 2-phenylbenzothiazoles, bis(benzylidene-4-nitrobenzeneamine)-1-disulfide via the intramolecular cyclization and intermolecular dimerization respectively, of thiobenzamides using CAN in acetonitrile. The biological evaluation of these compounds is undergoing.
